Discipline

The School of Religious Education seeks to provide for each student an atmosphere of loving trust as a model of our greater community, American Martyrs Church.  The students are expected to arrive to class on time, ready to learn and follow directions from the adults and classroom guidelines at all times.  Every person is worthy of being treated with care and the respect fitting one made in the image and likeness of God.  Therefore, classroom behavior needs to be one of genuine Christian care, mutual respect, ad honesty.  Disruptive behavior prevents leaning for the whole class, and can be frustrating for the catechist who is volunteering his/her time for the good of the students.

Dress Code

Students are asked to dress appropriately for the time they pray and learn about their faith on the campus of their church.  Please be sure the girls do not wear spaghetti straps type shirts or “tube tops” to class.  Hats and shirts with logos of an anti-Christian nature are not appropriate.  Your help in creating an atmosphere of Christian community is greatly appreciated.
